The robbery
started when the girl was home alone and she heard a knock on the door. She
went and answered it and there were two men standing in front of her, one with
a gun. They said that if she was quiet she wouldn't get hurt. The other man was Johnkin, who had punched
her in the face about a month ago. The man with a gun kept it to her back while
Johnkin searched the house, taking things like computers, jewelry, T.V.s and
gaming systems. They were still stealing when the brother Daron Coleman- Lemmie
came home, unaware of the robbery. He entered his sister's room looking for her
and was attacked by the man with the gun, who was hiding in the closet with the
girl.
When the two
men were done searching the house, Johnikn said, "Do what you have to
do", and then left. The other man stayed. He told the two to sit on their
couch. The two siblings begged the man not to shoot them, but before he left,
he fired multiple shots. The two siblings, both shot, crawled to the front
door. Coleman-Lemmie's girlfriend was waiting in the car and she saw them.
Johnkin was
arrested; he denied his involvement. He was charged as an adult last week with
first degree intentional homicide, and attempted first degree intentional
homicide, two counts of armed robbery, and one count of false imprisonment.
Coleman-Lemmie
passed away days later at the hospital. His sister survived and is still
recovering, but she will never recover from the tragic memory.
